AIB Vinçotte (OK Compost)
The Belgian agency has created AIB Vinçotte OK Compost Stamp brand in accordance with EN 13432, recognized by the AFNOR and LNE.
EN 13432 (Compostable)
The German Din Compostable Certco has created a brand/Stamp in accordance with DIN EN 13432. According to the characteristics (weight, thickness) and its method of manufacture (adding certified dyes and inks), marketed by BioWorks products are biodegradable and compostable according to European standard EN 13432. the European standard EN 13432 focuses on four main points: 1) Control of the components with the verification of the absence of heavy materials. 2) The requested biodegradability threshold is 90% and 6 months maximum. 3) The eco-toxicity of humus. 4) disintegration: fragments should not survive above material 2mm x 2mm after 12 weeks.

This symbol guarantees the fulfillment of Regulation No 1935/2004 of the European Parliament and the Council. Therefore, this symbol guarantees that any material or article intended to come into direct or indirect contact with food must be sufficiently inert to prevent transfers of food substances in quantities large enough to endanger human health or to cause an unacceptable change in the composition of foodstuffs or deterioration in the organoleptic characteristics.
